    Recitation is the art of words and sounds, and the resonance of emotions and thoughts.
    We believe that every classic work deserves to be given life and every young person deserves to be heard.
    The World Schools Recitation Competition is committed to providing a stage for students from all over the world to showcase their language charm, deepen their understanding of literature, and promote cultural exchanges.

    The contestants' clothing, headwear, makeup, etc. will not be judged, but they must be neat and tidy.

    Individual Awards

    There are the following prizes for each age group:
    Super Gold Award (Top 10% of participants)

    Gold Award (11%-25% of contestants)
    Silver Award (26%-40% of the contestants)
    Bronze Award (41%-60% of the contestants)
    Excellence Award (61%-80% of the contestants)

    Application fee for awards: Winners can apply for a customized award with their name printed on it.

    Each competition age group will have the following awards:

    The deadline for applications is two weeks after the judging results are announced.

    All awards will be mailed within eight weeks after the application deadline.

    [School/Organization Awards]

    Any instructor who nominates 5 or more participants will receive the "Outstanding Instructor Award" Certificate.

    Any school/education center/organization that nominates 10 or more participants will receive the "Institution Award" Trophy.

    Competition Guidelines

    The entire video must clearly show the contestant's appearance and movements.

    The video resolution must be 720p (1280×720) or above.

    The video must be shot in one take and no special effects such as music, sound, images, text, filters, transitions, color grading, lighting, subtitles or special effects may be added. No editing or post-production is allowed.

    The video must be recorded live and no dubbing is allowed.

    When shooting a video, the camera should be kept stable, the camera should be fixed and the camera should not be moved.

    Work requirements: Submit a high-definition video of recitation in Chinese and English (less than 5 minutes). Specific requirements are as follows:

    1. Video Standards

    Clear picture quality and noise-free sound

    Complete presentation of recitation performance (pronunciation, intonation, emotion, etc.)

    3. Recitation skills

    Language accuracy : standard pronunciation in Chinese and English, natural intonation/tongue

    Rhythm control : appropriate speaking speed, fast and slow in order

    Emotional expression : Strong appeal, able to convey the connotation of the work

    Expressiveness : Use techniques such as accents and pauses to enhance the effect

    4. Submission method : Submit the video file (format: MP4) via the official website or email to info@wacachk.org.

    3. Submit your entries through the website before the deadline and name the file in the specified format.

    Before uploading the file, the file name must be saved as "Competition Category_Competitor's Full Chinese Name"

    Competition rules and statement:

    Participants must abide by the following competition rules and terms:

    1. All entries must be uploaded before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

    2. All entries must be the work of the entrants themselves and the works of others may not be used for entry.

    3. The entries must be original and will not infringe the rights of third parties (including intellectual property rights, confidentiality rights or privacy rights). If there are any violations, the entry will be disqualified from participating or winning the prize. If the entry violates any law, all legal responsibilities will be borne by the entrants and the Association will not be responsible.

    4. All entries must not contain obscene, violent, pornographic, defamatory, offensive, insulting or any controversial and inappropriate content. Otherwise, the entry will be disqualified without further notice.

    5. The entries cannot contain any commercial or political elements.

    6. The personal information provided by the contestants will only be used for competition contact and notification purposes.

    7. Please ensure that the contestants’ personal information is correct. The Association will not be responsible for any errors.

    8. Winners may not transfer their winning eligibility to other persons.

    9. Once the contestant uploads the file to participate in the competition, he/she agrees to accept all the terms and conditions of the competition. If the organizer believes that there is any violation of the relevant terms and conditions of the competition, it reserves the right to cancel the contestant's participation and prize qualification at any time. There is no appeal mechanism for this competition.

    10. Participants agree to abide by all arrangements of the Competition by the Organiser and the Organiser reserves the right to make the final decision, including the interpretation, modification, cancellation or suspension of the terms and conditions, prizes and other arrangements of the Competition without prior notice.

    11. The judging results shall be subject to the decision of the Association. Participants shall abide by the decision of the Association and shall not raise any objection.

    12. The Organiser reserves the right to make the final and binding decision on the Competition (such as competition format, eligibility criteria, prize eligibility, list of winners and prize collection arrangements, etc.).

    13. All participants must abide by all competition rules and regulations. Submission and participation in the competition constitutes agreement and understanding of the competition rules and statements.
